Critique Of Judgment

I without budging stare
At the tears poised in your grey eyes
Wish I could have been there
But love I was denied

We live for what is biblically subscribed
Palpable generating from our forefathers
Die for what we leave behind
Flustering as to what love is

A tremor in the corner of my demolished heart
Clouds the resurrection of a life I envy
A feeling overflowing as it departs
I contemplate you as what I ought to be

I can picture only a moment of silence
Which echo’s as a desire through the remainder of a day
I congregate a fantasy to seek fulfillment
And ascend to my feet when I pray

A critique of judgment
To contradict a history blemished with truth
It vaguely scours the surface of a life I claim to be fulfilled
For which I am the sole proof

A yellow rose with beauty as it is
Denied for the conspiracy of it being red once before
Closing down the tormented path of past beliefs
Conveying my thoughts to the seraph with me in discourse

I know myself concealed in your presence
But hate myself tangled in moments of silence
