Love

Sunny day, warm beach, freezing water, cold feet
Love was in the air yet invisible
Nightfall took over, sitting by her at home.

Happiness was but a kiss away, I struggled but achieved it my way
In the end she claimed her love, as did I, only to scare her away,
Back in my bed, I lie alone and panicking.

Thinking of all the beautiful moment spent dreaming
Waking up in a state of angst, realizing she’s no longer by me breathing,
Facing reality without the One is painful and unbearable.

I miss you and will do anything to be there for you
Yet you become colder than the water on that faithful day,
Stranger we are now, and your love ceased to exist.
