Some days are not
Some days a bit of both

What to write, what to say
So many thing on my mind today
There's this and that and all of those
Serious stuff or catching shows

So strange that I'm so relaxed
At this present time
I should be stressed beyond belief
But I'm feeling fine
...

You're the one that's always on my mind
The one thought that doesn't get lost in the daily grind
Like a candle that doesn't want to die
You flicker and burn, always catching my eye
...

Fe fi fo fum is how the story goes
But what I told a tale that no one really knows
A tale were giants aren't that mean and never ever cuss
When the evil villains seem to be us
...

We're so focused on the fire and the burn
That we forget all the stuff we're trying to learn
We forgot about the water that gives rest
Returning us to our brightest and best
...

I can't get her off my mind
No matter how hard I try
She's always there, she's all I find
To say I don't enjoy it would be a lie
...

I look back on where I had been
On all that was, both good and sin
I see who I was and how I've grown
Seeing seeds grow that I had sown
...

We live in this world with so many lights
Brightening and removing the nights
So many things catching our eyes
That we give up and give into the lies
...

Folding and cutting as I try to make
Things that won't die, wither, or break
Pressing and shaping as I try to create
Some grand and something great
