Bright blue beautiful skies
I welcome sight in my eyes
A calm clear winter's night
So peaceful it removes fright

How do I say that something's bugging me
When sadness is something they don't want to see
How do I say that I'm not alright
Without accidentally causing fright

He looks out through watchful eyes
Soaring through the brilliant skies
Spending his day in quiet thought
Looking for the peace he sought

Come on everyone, raise a cheer
Let it be heard far and near
Let the voices rise above
Speaking of our mothers’ love

Lord, come in now and heal this heart
Take hurt and health and make them part
You see where I am and you know what's going on
And you know what I've done and how they have gone

Have you heard the sound of a cloudless night
Have you seen the moon shining bright
Ever notice the stars on high
Seen the heavens light up the sky

For years the embers have gently glowed
Deep inside where they were carefully stowed
And sometimes life would fan a flame
As if burning was a simple game

Don't let it go to my head
Don't let my ego grow from what you said
Please don't encourage pride
Cause then you might find what I hide
