Ashley Sinclair Poems

Silence, is all I hear as I sit down on the frozen stump, silence, peaceful silence, until the lone bird cry’s out.

Shaking the bare trees that are reaching up to the sky.
...

I fly though the air as if on magical wings, without a worry or a care as heart sings.

I feel the engine start to hum as the wind gives way,
So I turn up my music loud and clear to brighten up my day.

A Silent Autumn Morning

Silence, is all I hear as I sit down on the frozen stump, silence, peaceful silence, until the lone bird cry’s out.

Shaking the bare trees that are reaching up to the sky.

Stirring the chipmunks in their frosty bed.

Startling the young doe looking for food.

In the depth of the silent oh so silent morning.

But as the sun comes up it brings a new day and the children come out to play so I whisper my goodbye to the silent autumn morning and begin the new day.
