My Name

In English my name means wanderer. In Hebrew my name means great happiness. It means biking with friends and laughter heard among the trees. It is like a strong heartbeat, full of passion and desire. It means orange. Warm, found in nature, sociable, and vibrant. It is a soft melody of a sing-song bird.
I like my name and believe it fits me well. Unique and sort of crazy. Definitely talkative. I tend to merge feelings with others - a common affair in the life of a Scorpio. Not self-disciplined, yet thoughtful, sensitive, and can be a great friend but also destructive. Born in the year of the dog, I am giving, outgoing, and tend to worry a lot. They call me Alyssa the nice one, Alyssa the funny one, Alyssa the laid back one, Alyssa the hyper one. An assortment of variety all in one little me. Short, yet tall in confidence and character.
Alyssa. Most people mispronounce it and say 'uh-li-sa' when it's more like 'uh-lee-sa'. It has a sharp interjection with a higher pitch. I do not like the name 'uh-li-sa' one bit. It is quite different from me. Alyssa is open minded and free-spirited, not confined and committed.
Entrapped in the fact that people falter my name I seem to become that wanderer and it does, in fact, bring me great happiness. When I wander, I begin to constantly discover new parts to life within many scattered experiences. Admiring the beauty of the clouds and trying to understand the complex human mind. A petite person with a large personality wanting to cry and yawp to this infinite world. Exploring the universe I live in and analyzing the amazing concoctions of life. Pedaling through new surroundings and letting my mind drift and flow smoothly, peacefully; alike to those tires of mine.
