She sits up and stares at the sky above
A blue moon shines as she falls in love
Gazing at the beauty of this blue moon
A quiet night with only a crickets tune
...

As I sit by the lonely candle light
Alone once more on this rainy night
As the candle burns the dying flame
My hearts pain burns just the same
...

As i held the many grains of sand
I watch it slip right through my hands
Just as my love had slipped that day
Gone with the wind as she blew away
...

Burning fire in my heart
Started with one small flame
Love we know has fallen apart
Scorching fire full of pain
...

Little Lucy just a little girl
Diagnosed changed her world
Her mother cried so very much
She says mother be quite, hush
...

The yellow sun is still shining
The gray clouds are still crying
The gentle wind is still blowing
The beautiful flowers still growing
...

As the memories fade and gone away
The photos are here and stay the same
I try and forget with each passing day
Though the pictures just induce the pain
...

Once In A Blue Moon

She sits up and stares at the sky above
A blue moon shines as she falls in love
Gazing at the beauty of this blue moon
A quiet night with only a crickets tune
Her hair sways as a nights breeze blows
Her love for the moon continues to grow
The moons love sweeps her off her feet
Up in the galaxy her hearts love beats
She feels so close but yet so very far
With the blue moon and among the stars
She begins to fall and opens her eyes
She looks for the blue moon above the sky
The moon has gone in the light of day
Wishing if only it could have stayed
She hopes that she will see it soon
Though only once in a blue moon
