I once thought I would see the world
I only saw the plains
And the red setting sky
It didn’t last very long

The thunder rolls beyond the cill
Gasping and clutching onto firm ground
Holding steady in an unfinished collapse
Feet sink deep as the world begins to stop

Finally the links began to separate
Not once did it seem to violate
Just keep pressing on to whatever happens
How did it wind up being a play?

It seems like it has been a long time…
I died, I know I know
So glad you come out today
God awaits me with his cane

Leaning towards unthinkable emotions

With cunning ingenuity surpass them

Things try to stay in line
All else fails to cure this pine

Shedding my independence with glee
