Just Passing Through

Into the light, so bright
A new beginning a new delight
A cry is heard a sigh of relief
Arms are open in disbelief

Growing pains, songs and stains
Cuts and bruises, it always rains
Head over heels can last forever
But often as not it's like the weather

Through the sad times and the bad times
Through the good times and the glad times
Through the anguish, pain and persistence
We all strive for that continued existence

But, if you knew then what you know now
How deep would be your furrowed brow
Hells on earth for heavens sake
So don't make the same mistakes

And when life's tapestry weave finally unravels
And time cuts short your journey's travels
Don't be sad, don't be blue
Because, we are all "Just Passing Through"
