Cassandra Joanna Poems

A shooting star,
So beautiful and bright,
Gleaming in the sky,
Flying through the darkness of night,
...

The walls were so strong,
Perfectly built,
Until something went wrong and he got up and left,
One wall is gone,
...

People are shouting
Sirens blaring
Damage is done
Can't forget
...

As the black rose falls out of my hand,
The tears begin to shed.
Dark is all I see
As I close my eyes and turn away.

Shooting Star

A shooting star,
So beautiful and bright,
Gleaming in the sky,
Flying through the darkness of night,
Shining from roof to roof,
Not deciding when to ground,
It floats over cities and paints pictures that for only a a second can be found,
Gliding with the wind it touches the heavens,
So graceful and majestic,
Getting nowhere,
It rapidly speeds up,
The light burns up,
It crashes,
It fades,
Nothing more to give light,
One less star to light up the sorrowful night.
