Most beautiful vision my eyes could behold
Opens before me, like a flower unfolds
Offers me kindness, a pollen so pure
Nectar of love and sorrows one cure

I know I’m not the only one
Who sits alone as time goes by
Whose failures mount the more I try
Whose pain just grows the more I cry

I feel as though my skin is taut & stretched so tightly over bone
On a rack my body caught stretched until my form has grown
I feel as though my head is cracked & all I am is fading fast
Insanity has now attacked, erasing present, future, past.

Look at us now in the opulent West
Fuel for a system all should detest
Watch as we lie in luxuries lap
Our belly's are full, our water on tap

Ode to you my dearest friend, who stood with me when times were black
I never wanted to offend, but now I've gone and can't come back.
Praise to you my confidant, I needed you to understand.

As mountains dwell in timeless sleep, as seasons come and go
