to all who follow His Will
despite earthly travail

things take an ugly turn

when loyalty springs up from the earth
justice rains down from heaven
peace prevails for mankind

fast for your health
for your heart and mind
and the nation's health
...

Cleanse the nation’s democracy;
Cleanse the nation’s bureaucracy;
Cleanse the nation’s polity;
Cleanse the nation’s authority.

a fasting protest is good
if not unto death
for life is too valuable to lose

a popular uprising
loses its appeal
if prolonged and irksome
