To me, my God is prime;
God-given health is wealth;
My knowledge stands up next;
My priceless time is best.

There are some things we wished to have in life;
We tried our level-best to get them fast,
Despite our poverty, trials and strife;
But once acquired, they turned things of past!

While everyone has liberty to strike,
And protesting for human rights is great,
None should endanger lives we like/ dislike,
As public sympathy then comes too late!

A statesman wise sees well beyond his times;
A leader great foresees the future well;
A monarch thinks of commonweal all climes;
A pope ensures that no soul lands in hell!
...

Who put the boulder on the mountain top?
Who seeds the shrubs to grow on hilly sides?
Who brings the water gushing from the rocks?
Who paints the rainbow on the rainy sky?
...

Let all the world's people remain healthy!
Let scientists find cures for every disease;
Let health make everyone happy, wealthy;
Let's hope that mankind's pain and sufferings cease!
...

For long a time, I've travelled by this road!
For quite some years, I'd taken poesy's wings;
For hours on end, I struggled with my pen;
A lifetime's work is already now writ!
...

Although awards are earthly gifts from men,
They serve to goad the fire that's heart within,
And help us do our duty much better,
And turn an example and trend-setter!
...

This day reminds that evil lurks in skies!
This day tells us that world is not yet safe;
This day brings memories of the lost loved ones;
This day instills a unity anew!
...

How years have flown away like days and hours!
And yet evergreen stays memories of past;
It just appears as if life was a dream;
But 'tis not so, our earthly life's real!
