Almost every ‘Deepavali’ gets itself
..widowed due to the fuddling of the rain!

Due to the extreme frolic of the rains,

It is foolishness to be in glee that the lightning
..like youth will remain for ever and considering
that I will do the virtuous deeds in old age!

A person who isn't exulting and who doesn't drink toddy,
..who is not seeing and being with people who drink toddy,

not hiding the food stuffs to the guests who visit him,
...

The cloud absorbs the salty water from the ocean
..and makes it to pour as pure and sweet water as rain!

Likewise, It is a pleasurable duty of the people
...

Don't go in the wicked ways and means in life
..so that the people who are at your safe custody
to grumble and lament with extreme agony!

As the boat sails to its destination with the wind
..in the proper direction depending upon the sailor
unfurling the rolled sail or rolling the unfurled one,
