Around me daffodils and crocuses spring up amongst the newly fresh grass as each step forward creates new ground to stand on. Ahead I see only darkness. Yet stepping forward flowering trees emerge from the soft earth into the surrounding light, under a steel blue sky still cold from the fear of dark nothing, the abyss of not-yet that is waiting for me. You say, Step into the light. It is light you step on, even darkness and empty ahead. Please send me the courage to continue! And somewhere a deep gong sounds. Dropping through the night a water dropp from a long white crystal, into a still pitch black pool. A small fluting splash sounds, swells out, spreading through the cavern calling to the whole round planet becoming now a bronze gong, a great sounding creative overtone. You ask, ~ Can you hear it? Can you step on this sounding light? Can you step onto my back that will carry you into a new future? ~ Iain Trousdell
