Elaine Parker Poems

Fair thou art

If Shakespeare could but glimpse thy face,
...

Pearls of wisdom from the heart
When you leave me, when we part

Like a bird my spirit flies
...

I still can hear the train

It left here hours ago

Elaine Parker Biography

Living in a retirement village and enjoying life even at the ripe old age of 72. I began writing poetry late at the age of 45. I was inspired by a funny thing that happened in our neighborhood, so I wrote about it. I was a charter member of Texoma Poetry Society and have enjoyed going to and participating in conventions. I haven't written anything new lately, but I plan to start again soon.)

The Best Poem Of Elaine Parker

Beloved

Fair thou art

If Shakespeare could but glimpse thy face,

That gifted bard would mourn

(poised quill held dry)

Incompetent to match thy grace.
