I'm a high school sophmore with great interest in poetry, and recently I've been assignment a poetry anthology assignemnt. I've chosen the theme 'coming of age' to coincide with some lyrics/free verse I've written. Does anyone have any suggestions as to some classic poems that share this theme? I've tried search engines, but I'd rather choose poems that people can connect personally with, instead of taking a computer's advice.

    Hi there,

Shakespeare's sonnets are awash with reference to aging - either dealing with it bitterly or gracefully. I am familiar with only a few, but I think there may be a couple of use to you. There are 154 of them, so you probably won't want to trawl through all...Perhaps ask your tutor which may be useful. S.
