Just wondering I picked up a poem or quotation called Friend at a estate sale and I was hoping to find out the author, It is dated on the back of it Dec.25,1929, the estate was of a lady that was 102 years old when she passed, it reads as follows Friend
Who hath a Friend
with whom to share
Hath double cheer
And half of care.
If you have any idea the author of this quotation or poem please let me know. Thanks so much, I am new to the site but look forward to reading and enjoying the poetry written. Thanks and have a great day.

I personally have never heard of that quote/poem, however, below is a very old anonymous sweedish proverb which I am familiar with and that sounds very much like the above quote in question.Perhaps the author who you are in search of was influenced by this proverb and without crossing the line of plagiarism penned her own version that was topic specific to friendship as opposed to the generic nature of the Sweedish proverb....FjR
