    Two prizes of $1,000 each and publication in Mississippi Review are given annually for a poem and a short story. Current or former University of Southern Mississippi students are ineligible. Angela Ball will judge in poetry and Andrew Malan Milward will judge in fiction. Submit three to five poems totaling no more than 10 pages or a short story of 1,000 to 8,000 words with a $15 entry fee ($16 for online submissions) , which includes a copy of the prize issue, by January 1,2015.     A prize of $500 is given annually for a group of three to five poems on a theme. For this year's contest, one poem must address either the struggles of the Chinese people under communism or the persecution of the Chinese meditation practice Falun Gong; the remaining poems must address one or more of the following themes: beauty, great culture, humor, or science. Poems must incorporate meter and rhyme. Society president Evan Mantyk will judge. Submit three to five poems of up to 50 lines each by December 31. There is no entry fee.     A prize of $2,000 and a six- to eight-week residency at Robert Frost's former home in Franconia, New Hampshire, is given annually to a poet who has published at least one poetry collection. The winner is also invited to participate in a regional reading series. A panel selected by Dartmouth College will judge.
