    For poems of up to 40 lines on any subject. 1st prize £100,2nd prize £50,3rd prize £25,5 prizes £10 each,5 Highly commended. Closing date 26 September

    Entry fee £2 per poem. Adjudicator Isobel Thrilling and one other to be appointed.

    Poem to be typed on single sheet of A4 in single spacing, enclose separate sheet with your contact details, name, address, email, telephone number.

    Two prizes of $1,500 each and publication by University of Massachusetts Press are given annually for a poetry collection and a book of fiction. In poetry, the award alternates yearly between first and subsequent books. For this year's prize, poets who have published a book-length collection of poetry may submit a manuscript of 50 to 70 pages. Fiction writers may submit a short story collection, a novel, or a novella of 150 to 350 pages. For both prizes, the entry fee is $25, and the deadline is September 30.     Approximately 24 residential fellowships are given annually to emerging poets, fiction writers, and creative nonfiction writers to spend an academic semester in residence at the Hans Arnhold Center at the American Academy in Berlin. Fellows also receive a $5,000 monthly stipend, lodging, and round-trip airfare. Writers based in the United States who have published at least one book in any genre are eligible. Submit two writing samples totaling no more than 60 pages, a project proposal of five to seven pages, a curriculum vitae, and three letters of recommendation (sent directly to the Academy by the references) by September 29.     Up to 15 fellowships will be given annually to poets, fiction writers, and creative nonfiction writers whose work will benefit directly from access to the research collections at the New York Public Library. The fellows will each receive $70,000, an office at the Cullman Center, and full access to the New York Public Library's main branch, the Stephen A. Schwarzman Building in midtown Manhattan, from September 2015 through May 2016. Fellows will be required to work on their projects at the Cullman Center for the duration of the fellowship and give a public talk. Using the online submission system, submit a writing sample of up to 4,500 words, a project proposal of up to 1,500 words, a curriculum vitae, and three letters of recommendation (submitted directly by the references through the online submission system) , by September 26.     SLAMbassadors UK is the Poetry Society's national youth slam championships, the longest running in the country. Established in 2002 it is committed to finding and nurturing the next generation of spoken word artists. Entries are submitted via filmed poem on the theme of Identity, and will be judged by a panel of artists including Kate Tempest. The 6 final winners will be invited to London to attend a master class led by poet Joelle Taylor, before performing a debut professional set at the Royal Festival Hall on October 31st.

    Open to all 12 -18 year olds resident in England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales.
    Closing date: midnight 10th October,2014.

    Geoff Stevens Memorial Poetry Prize 2014

    Closing Date: 30th September 2014.
    Prizes: Two winners will have a 52 page poetry collection published by Indigo Dreams Publishing and receive 25 copies.Publication (to coincide with Geoff's birth date) June 4th 2015.
    Entry Fee: £20 per block of poems.
