The Fish Poetry Competition 2012

Fish Publishing has been running a poetry contest since 2006.
Fish Publishing is an independent publishing company based in the West of Ireland. It has been running writing contests since 1994. It is the aim of Fish Publishing to encourage and promote new writers.
2012 Fish Poetry Prize opens for entries Aug 2011. Billy Collins (Poet Laureate USA 2001-2003) will be judging. He will select 10 poems to be published in the 2012 Fish Anthology.

Nazim Hikmet Poetry Competition
Deadline: February 3,2012
Nazim Hikmet Poetry Competition is accepting submissions through February 3,2012. The selected poems will be published on-line at the Festival web site as well as in the Festival Chapbook, and the poets will be invited to read their winning poems and introduce their poetry at the Festival. Each finalist will receive an award of $100.

Doire Press 2012 International Poetry & Fiction Chapbook Competition

Winners will each receive 75 copies of their own professionally edited and printed chapbook, published by Doire Press.
Fiction entries: one short story (4,000 words max)

2012 Wenlock Poetry Festival & Competition
Shropshire town of Much Wenlock, UK
The Festival this year has 32 events, including poetry performances and workshops along with poetry activities, exhibitions and celebratory events. Festival offers a wide range of workshops for adults, children and young people encouraging creativity for all participants.
The 2012 Wenlock Poetry Competition is now open for entries.
Fee £5 per poem. Prizes £500, £200, £100. Winners will be invited to read their poems and collect their prizes at a performance on Saturday 14 April as part of the Wenlock Poetry Festival.
