If there is a life hereafter life won't be so bad in hell
If old Satan allows me pen and paper for to pen doggerel
Just to appease my addiction and practice my gift of poor rhyme
Many frown on such a hobby see it as a waste of time.

When your amount of money can say more about you than words of you can ever say
It does not speak volumes of the society that we have to live in today
If that only speaks of our true worth it does not say much for humanity
When you say money only matters you seem spiritually bankrupt to me.

Do not take yourself too seriously that's my advice to you
And always to your higher self you ought to remain true
And never steal from poor people that is an awful crime
And if you wish to be a poet never dabble in doggerel rhyme.

When we speak of good and evil we know not what we say
As we all have those traits in us or to me 'twould seem that way
Our so called honourable leaders who condemn crimes of hate
In truth only condemning what they've helped to create.

It is a tragic time we live in with the violence in the World of today
For God and for National fervour the price in death is huge to pay
Two wrongs never ever make a right or words to that effect the wise say
It did take more than one side without a doubt to start the war of us against they,

I lay on my back and I think of England that's what Victoria used to say
Whenever she was copulating and that was often on her day
Queen Victoria died but her fame outlives her States and places named in her honour from England far away
Born to royalty her fame does live on but only worms live where her bones now lay.

The near to perfect people to say the least quite rare
Of my flaws as a human being I surely am aware
Perfection for one of the human kind almost impossible to achieve
That's what those who study human behaviour tell us and that's not hard to believe

An amateur penner is all I can be and my worth as a rhymer I doubt
But when you tell me there's music in blank verse I wonder what you are on about
I've always thought music has rhythm and rhyme and is married to rhyming song
But of literature and music I am not a judge and maybe I do have it wrong

Mental pictures of things of Nature through life one recall
I once found a bird's nest in ivy growing on stone wall
The nest of a robin and his faithful wife
A memory to carry and to cherish for life.

His family so proud of his success the Managing Director of his Company
And success it fed his big ego and few prouder people than he
His son and daughter studying for their Doctorate his blond and classy wife aged forty four
One of the so called elite high achievers in life he could not have asked for more.
