As forecasters of rain and storm they do never get it wrong
The dark birds of the wooded high country known as the pied currawong
When the currawongs are singing you can bet that rain is near
Their distinctive currawonging is quite pleasant for to hear

You may be a big company director in your chauffeur driven car
But to life's reaper it does not matter of how wealthy you are
For you billionaire there is no hiding from the one who wields the scythe of death
The one who is the great equalizer eventually cuts from all the living breath

How pleasant for to hear the male curlew sing
Above the moorland in the prime of the Spring
The male sings his beautiful flute like territorial and courtship song
Such beauty that to Nature does only belong

Long before time it did become my foe
In Ireland where i lived a long time ago
Of some of their habits i did get to know
Jackdaws a small breed of Eurasian crow

Success can be relative would you not agree
But you can only be the best that you can be

They can feel proud of themselves the working class people Worldwide
Since they are the builders and souls of every village, city and town
In the working class struggles stories of renown

Many kilometres north of his home country town
Feeling depressed and financially down
And feeling homesick for his home far away
Though as poor in the poor suburb he will stay

Are you one who believes in life after death
That your soul will leave your body when you draw your last breath
And from Planet Earth unseen in wings fly
To a beautiful Land somewhere beyond the sky
