Though losing is something anyone would not choose
For one for to win others do have to lose
This is how it is and how it will always be
The ultimate joy is always in victory

In places where they once were plentiful nowadays they are extinct or few
That common wombats are on the decrease is not saying anything that is new
Of a family of the World's largest burrowing marsupials in Australia only to be found
With their powerful paws they excavate big tunnels and burrow their way underground
...

To rid the World of them humans their best does try
Rabbits secret of survival is they quickly breed and multiply
They prove costly to farmers and gardeners and leave many in tears
And have survived myxomatosis, clavixal virus, shooting, trapping and poisoning over decades of years
...

Far south of the fields of the silver backed crow
Of Nature's ways so much to learn and to know
Where brown wedge tailed eagle monarch of the southern sky
Eyes on the brown and dry paddocks searching for prey as she fly
...

Though money speaks every language in truth one can say
And never more so than in the Human World of today
The way you treat others says more about you
Than your money or achievements could ever hope to do
...

Few do go through life without making some foes
This goes with being human one does have to suppose
The friend of your enemy is not a friend to you
Few manage to remain as friends with both of the quarelling two
...

Many hearts that beat with kindness forever are still
Under the earth in view of Cashman's Hill
Some of them died youg and some lived to die old
And like many their life stories in book form will never be told
...

The present in the seeds of the past was sown
And the future as is said remains an unknown
And tomorrow will dawn as it did today
But not for everyone in truth one can say
...

To some their idea of a fair go to some only does apply
But the truth in the meaning of a fair go they only deny
Since a fair go to some is not a fair go to all
Some limit their thinking on fairness to small
...

No different to most other migrants i have had my good and bad years
For the Town in view of Clara i have shed my last nostalgic tears
But like every other migrant memories with me does remain
Of a past that has gone forever and will never be again
