It is known all too well that it is not a crime
But it is not a nice feeling to be addicted to rhyme
An addiction that i have often tried for to give away
But a tiny voice within me to me always does say

It is a World for young women and men
As it is now it was also back when
I was much younger this is going back in time
Back to the days when i was in my physical prime

It is in so many people this desire for money and fame
To be admired by many as one of a great name
Yet few admired by many are humble of mind
Many of the town's known to be high achievers to narcissism inclined

Behind the gray clouds the sun hidden away
By the Boggeragh mountains a cold, wet and windy day
From the pregnant rain clouds wind driven rain drizzling down
And waterways flowing bank high in flood waters of brown
...

There is an individual in every small town
Who feels no desire for material success or even local renown
That most of the community does look on as strange
Yet is planting the seeds of the instigation of change
...

Marge Heeley in spirits she never seems down
She is one of the happiest people in the town
With her husband Alex and their six year old twin daughters Lily and Jill
I often does see them walking up the Town Hill

By the hills of Kippagh and Caherbarnagh he did not stay
He had lived in Aughavish in the County of Leitrim for many a day
Far north of Millstreet in Duhallow his first home countryside
The likeable and knowledgeable fellow Johnnie Cremin died

Though life to them is not in any way fair
The people who laugh in the face of despair
Are people that i for one can only admire
And of singing their praises i never could tire
...

Youth with anyone it does not stay
Of life you may have known of a better day
You well may have lived the most of your time span
But carry on living for as long as you can
...

If there is a life for good souls after bodily death beyond the sky somewhere
In this paradise known as Heaven you will not find me there
Perhaps i will be with Satan in a bleak room in Hell
Doing what i like best doing penning doggerel
