We learn as we live from life every day
And we never stop learning only true to say
And for as long as the gift of memory we retain
The need for more knowledge in us will remain

The salmon are swimming upriver in the cold gray damp of the dawn
To the gravel beds of the rapids to dig out their spawning beds to spawn
November is their breeding season in the cold and wet Northern Fall
When yesterday's flood is subsiding they are answering to Nature's call.

It is said you receive from life what is only your due
But many people with justification could tell you this is not true
The people born of poor parents who only know of poverty
With such a saying about life would never agree

I am lucky in life in truth i can say
In the beauty i see around me every day
The beauty i do not have to pay to see
That wherever i turn to look is around me

A false impression on the voters they make
And many of their promises post election they break
Few of them as their true selves you ever does see
Most politicians are not what they make themselves out to be
...

I may never more see the Town of Millstreet
Or walk through the fields to where the waterways meet
Or hear the birds sing in the prime of the May
On the leafy hedgerows from here far away
...

Those who believe there is not more to life than living for me, myself and i
Are people who do believe in their own lie
Narcissistic in their thinking and self centered indeed
The World of more of their sort is not in need
...

Bad leaders people do only divide
And plenty of their sort nowadays Worldwide
They do use their power in a negative way
With their sort it is always do as i say
...

You feel attracted to her in the strongest way
And every-time you meet her she smiles and says good day
You think that she fancies you but you have got it wrong
Just because she is friendly doesn't mean her feelings for you are strong
...

You can be anything in life that you wish to be
With such a saying Willie is one who does not agree
Just a hackneyed old phrase to any relevance not true
Extinction for such a phrase ought to be overdue
