Thinking about how it used to be
So happy and so carefree
The world was a merry-go-round
With barely any sound
...
No I don’t want this no more
It’s killing me
You think you can hold my heart
And fulfill it’s every need
...
So many thoughts fill my head
I just can’t believe that you’re really dead
I still hear your voice
It’s a welcomed noise
...
What happened to the innocence
What happened the happiness
Our world is full of sorrow
Our world is full of hate
...

The World As It Used To Be
Thinking about how it used to be
So happy and so carefree
The world was a merry-go-round
With barely any sound
That would spin and not care
About the worries that do dare
To take our sleepy world and kill
Its pleasant whirl
But as I grew older
The death and the smolder
Took the simple life
And replaced it with strife
The world was no longer the safe place
For me to get from my race
The one they call the great human race.
So as you can see
It is far from it used to be
The quite streets are now filled
With people that have been milled
So as the darkness surrounds us
Full of hurt and lust
I just want to say
This world is not as it used to be.
