Oh Lord, it seems to me, You are a God of pain
without which some people say there is no gain.
There is only so much that we creatures can bear
and it’s sometimes I wonder if You really do care.

Within us is the power to create, preserve and destroy
but which is the power that we all do most employ?
We are all struggling to gain that which we know
will give all the knowledge and strength to show

It's now time to say goodbye and bid each other farewell
we may yet see one another again perhaps, who can tell?
The paths of our life often cross over familiar ground
and so in the days of our lives those memories hound.

What news have you brought me of the beloved?
The anxiety of my heart is so very great in there.
I no longer at all can keep my feelings covered
and the stirrings of my heart are about to flare.

When the going gets tough the tough are said to get going
but where they end up is in a place only of their knowing.
Tough people in this world usually get or have their own unique ways
and when they have a sense of purpose accomplish much in their days.

To those wailing of their loneliness which nobody hears
is like crying in the dark with no one to see your tears.
They're lacking in the gift people come to know as love
which is missing in their lives being Graced from above.

It's better late than never
to tell me how you feel
though it seemed that forever
our love to last was real.

Love is very amazing and love is so sweet
but true love is the kind I'd like to meet.
Love is life and with love we should greet
true love can be found even on the street.
