when the day comes I'm not here
I'm not afraid of dying
just to leave what I hold dear

someone with things to do
someone with people who loved them
so sad but so very true

I try to keep bright
but I'm feeling so low
my Trudy's been ill Jill

Glittering stars
in an inky black sky
in a tropical garden
gazing up high
...

Though his racing days are over
on the marsh he'll gently graze
where he'll spend his last remaining years
sharing all his days
...

One sunny august afternoon
when all the world seemed out of tune
we stood in a garden by the Thames
drinking coffee clutching hems
...

In a norman church
on the edge of the marsh
we gathered together
one bright day in March
...

Hamlets dotted just like pearls
strung out along the river
cool breezes in the apple orchard
make the blossom quiver
...

Quite the most romantic room
topped the marble stair
where Charles De Gaulle had stood one day
to wed his wife so fair
...

I wandered up and down the paths
I could have walked for hours
They grew so graceful wild and free
I marvelled at the flowers
