Hemchandra Dutta Poems

Who says he is no more
He has temporally left for his abode

He gave us a tune to chant
...

The nest of a sparrow hangs out
From my heart in a rather painless way
My prime desire is to tender
A bird as many poets do
...

The sparrow was walking along a crane on the side-ways
Leading to the foot-path at Silpukhuri
A desire to touch the heaven
Loomed large at her heart
...

I purchased it the other day
From a foot path at Ganeshguri Chariali
It cost me sixty rupees
To gaurd my belongings worth the name
...

The Best Poem Of Hemchandra Dutta

Dr Bhupen Hazarika

Who says he is no more
He has temporally left for his abode

He gave us a tune to chant
To stand for truth, humanity and man

He loved the Brahmaputra, its people
And the soil
We couldn't measure him
Due to our foil

Bhupenda, may your soul rest in peace
We will remember you
In our tragic course of race.
