The silent tests,
The noisy breaks,
The laughing fun,
That school day makes.

When it all goes wrong,
And the day is far too long,
And you're heart's a lump of stone,
Inside a hollow chest.

There used to be a way,
For me to keep up hope;
There used to be a day,
When I could almost cope.
...

Of inky fingers,
Leaking pens,
Red-faced glee,
Guarded dens.
...

He had hoped she would,
Bring him to the light;
But she never could,
Find him in the night.
...

Across the sky it’s coming;
Darkness closing in,
Fight it if you wish,
You know you’ll never win.
...

There’s something in the dark;
Waiting in the night,
Something you can’t see,
Is something you can’t fight.
...

A second aought in time,
Within the wind, a breath.
Lives we turn away from;
Forget the pain and death.
...

The slientness and emptiness;
Ripping through my soul,
The happiness and joyfulness,
All that keeps me whole.
...

The nights are always long,
The days are even longer.
I feel as though I'm dying,
Will it make me stronger?
