Almost There

I never thought I'd get this far...
And even though there are memories sour,
No one can stop me from getting there.
No matter what they say,
I don't care;
I'm almost there.

Reaching for the heights,
I'm shining bright.
While they think what they say is right.
I'll prove them wrong,
Won't let myself fall;
From where I'm standing,
I'm almost there.

When I reach my goal,
So happy will be my soul.
And everything will fall into place,
Then I'll finally see the surface.
And I won't ever have to say again,
