Imperfect Perfection Biography

I've written many poems over the years. Most in my early adulthood and now in my 30's. About a gap of 10 years when life was just too busy to reflect on my feelings and thoughts. I'm slowly but surely posting my poems, old ones I can remember and new ones that i've written. Hope you enjoy them.)

The Stranger

The room fills from the glow of the computer screen.
The hum of the hard drive coming to life.

She sits staring at the screen,
In anticipation of what it may bring.

Was it just a dream, just a fantasy?
She felt too good, felt so real.

The stranger that appeared out of nowhere,
A little message blinking with only one word

The two little letters, one little word,
Turned her world upside down, but for the good.

Tears of joy, tears of laughter,
Tears of pain, tears of sorrow.

This stranger listened when it mattered,
This stranger gave hope for tomorrow.

They talk long in to the night
No cares at all to the early morn light

Signed off with happy hearts and tired eyes,
Promises of another meeting the coming night.

The glow of the computer screen reflects off her worried eyes.
Was it real, was he real? Was it just a lie?

She waits and waits clicking the refresh button,
She waits and then nothing.
