Jennifer Holloway Poems

A cold emptiness grips my heart
As death cruelly tears us apart.
No more to see your smiling face,
Or feel your gentle soft embrace.
...

If every living thing from birth,
Could live in peace upon the earth,
What a wondrous place this world would be,
No more wars for you and me.
...

A mother is more precious than you know,
So cherish her while on this earth you grow.
She's always there to lend a listening ear,
and give advice to set aside your fear.

Bereaved

A cold emptiness grips my heart
As death cruelly tears us apart.
No more to see your smiling face,
Or feel your gentle soft embrace.
Lost and alone I wonder why,
The one I loved should have to die. Time alone can ease the pain,
But the ache inside will still remain.
Although happy memories I can treasure,
With thoughts of you that give me pleasure.
And my love for you will still remain
Until the day we meet again.
