An Unattainable Soul Mate

I was Broken and battle scarred

My heart felt stretched beyond its limits
When I think of you I long to feel you again

Your beauty healed my throbbing wounds
Washing over me with cooling waters

When I truly felt I would never be whole again
You had faith in me

And I miss you every day

I pray we will be reunited
But I know we will never see each other again

We were only meant to be together once

When I was unwanted and invisible
Your faith in me brought me into the light

When I was forgotten and left behind
You found me and walked with me through the dark

And now there is an ocean between us
But that will never keep me from loving you

You will forever and always be my soul mate
