Doors

Doors that were once closed now have opened
What I have found I dare not touch,
The penalty for some would be far too much
Who has never reached high for a star? The world has said you must surrender to time
You never gave up in the back of your mind,
Time holds many memories but will never say
Time to open some closed doors will never be. Talent that was refused and never developed
Like a tattered old book that sits high on the shelf,
Time can recover and dust off its cover
Some may be happy with what you have discovered. Rag dolls are more loved than some sisters and brothers
By failure to step forth and open doors for each other,
And down through the years most will agree
To love and to share will find one the key.
