As I gaze out upon the desert sky,
I sit and ponder and wonder why.
I left my life and family back home,
For this place where I search and roam.

As we journey through our lives,
We all take separate paths.
Sometimes they're filled with sorrow,
Other times they're full of laughs.

At night in my bed, I lie awake
I can’t help but wonder, how she could forsake.
The love we shared, was strong and true.
But she said goodbye, so now we are through.

Every time I look into the mirror,
I can see the image so much clearer.
There’s no more shattered existence,
And I’m running into less resistance.

Dancing together under the moonlight skies
Staring deeply into each other’s eyes
Holding you in my arms so tight
Loving you just feels so right.

Not only are you the one that I desire,
You also are the one to truly inspire.
You always seem to have an insight,
And because of that I am able to write.

God knows I’ve tried

What's wrong with this world today?
Kids are no longer able to pray.
In schools, religion is not aloud inside,
But they bring in weapons and many have died.
