Clearing, now, my desk, I feel
curmudgeonly companionship
with those with whom I work. I’ll
miss them;

Sean, whom I despise, I’ve gazed at
longer than I looked at Claire
when we were married; more hours
my monitor I’ve examined
than my sleeping lads.
