The brevity of life shifts with the sand
As with the tide the waves so bend.
Further, further out to sea flows the hand
Of prosperity to plunder at depth's end

Today, I was determined to fly a kite;
There was plenty of wind with no clouds in sight.
Most strenuously I checked the strength of the twine;
I didn't want any troubles fouling up my line.

The price was worth it, so it seemed;
It was right and not a penny more.
Here the clock will sit,
Here it will count its days

The airy chill, the somber still that autumn brings;
That musty smell from raking leaves
As you scratch your nose and loudly sneeze;
The scent of burnt wood lingers with the breeze,

Under warm blanket
I listen to silence scream-
avalanche darkness
...

Beneath the waves I sank; darkness surrounded me
Silence wrapped its hands around my strangled plea.

My feet are cold; my tiredness lingers.
My back aches from stooping so low.
Dampened by the frigid water below,
I breathed warmth into my numbing fingers.

Blackened smoldering
Wood rising steam hazy sun
Autumn dew dripping
Blooming flower brilliant red
...

Into the forest I go
To cut myself some wood;
A cabin I’ll build,
A shelter from the cold.

You watched me as a child
Grow stronger every day;
It was your love that fed me
And sped me on my way.
