Give Me A Sign

Throughout my life I've driven away
Those who love me and want to stay
I've hurt my friends, family and my wife
Oh my, what kind of life

Why do I feel so empty inside
Unable to love, trust and show affection
Everything I do is done to be recognized and accepted
But feel it just goes unnoticed

So I sit here all alone and wondering why
I've traveled down this road and pushed those who love me aside
Everyone has a purpose in life but what is mine
When will it be revealed to me so I can go on

I want to make amends to those I've turned away, hurt and disgraced
But can't until I am happy with myself.
Give me a sign, show me the light
So I can trust, feel love, give love and move on and be happy with my life
