God In The Little Things
The comfort of buildings turned insignificant,
To renounce the power of wealth, I turned adamant;
Relationships came with lust to haunt,
To serve a purpose greater, I found principles and I was not reluctant to flaunt;
In a world ephemeral, I embraced the ethereal,
My heart wasn't yearning for a God in real,
It sought to find the real God and in the little things, it was possible;
Endless were the landscapes which I trod upon,
I walked and walked, with love and without weapon;
I met the trees and found solace in their shadows,
I found love in the animals of the meadows,
Tell me not to forget the peace at the lake and its shore,
To me, this is not Godly but God as a whole.
