The Bites

I've got the bites.
A wannabe vampire,
my mum was right.
I'll never be,
the one you want.
So I'll pretend,
with plastic hearts.

The time has come.
I've got the bites.
I never wanted this life.

I'll pretend to be a hipster,
I don't know what that is anymore.
I'm a fake,
washed up on the shore.

The social status,
hugs me tight.
Like an unwanted aunt.
That has the bites.

It's all contagious,
sick and outrageous.

We've all got the bites.
Settled in pseudo blue lights.
