Facebook Blocking

Who are you to block me?
I guess you've every right
But I bet you over-reacted
And did it out of spite

It's an option to us all on Facebook
But when we've got mutual friends
Who does it really benefit
When conversations don't make sense?

Surely it's a misunderstanding
A problem to work out
How can I get any closure
When I don't know what it's about?

We all fall out sometimes
But is it worth losing a mate?
Surely it's better to talk to each other
It's not that hard for goodness sake!

I won't bite your head off
Or make things uncomfortable
I bet once the conversation starts
It'll be like always, unstoppable

There's so much that I want to share
So many things I want to do
If you find that door, could you open it
And be part of it all too?

I can't explain how much I miss you
But the very hardest part?
Is not being there if you needed help
And just knowing how you are

I don't know why I bothered
You can't read this anyway
Unless of course you can see it
From your 'other' profile page

You see, I've kept this post quite public
My life's an open book
If you turn back the pages a bit
You were there, just take a look

Sometimes I go back to that chapter
Where we used to get along
I have such fond memories
That I turned it into a song

So...instead of changing our privacy settings
And taking the easy way out
Go with a smile and knock on their door
To see if your friend is about

Facebook is great for so many things
But you can't beat face-to-face talking
Then maybe we'll get back some old friends
That got lost in all this blocking
