I'll leave my footprints in the sands here;
When I go to meet my fate.
Let them lead you to my Savior,
And then through His pearly gate. For our Jesus now is pleading;
...
I gazed out of my window at a bleak and wintry sky;
At trees so leafless and so fare I couldn't help but sigh;
For in the spring the trees and flowers are lovely as can be,
And autumn brings them colors that no artist hopes to see. Then suddenly upon the pain, oh! wouldn't you just know?

Footprints In The Sand Here
I'll leave my footprints in the sands here;
When I go to meet my fate.
Let them lead you to my Savior,
And then through His pearly gate. For our Jesus now is pleading;
For His children to be saved.
So please trust in our dear Savior.
He'll be with you past the grave. If you put your soul in His hands,
He will keep your heart from fear,
And He'll always bless and keep you;
He will stay so very near. This old world can be a harsh one;
Without Christ where would we be?
If we only ask forgiveness;
He will set our souls all free. On that rugged cross He took on;
All the sins of everyone;
So let's bow our heads and thank God;
For His precious only son.
