When we first met; to me you were nothing more than a friend
Somebody new with which I could laugh and play
A hardly serious relationship, personal details left untouched

But since then I think about you unremittingly, every waking moment of every day
Something has changed. What has changed?
I catch myself gazing at you constantly, longly - wishing you were mine
What field of artistry have you mastered? What form of trickery have you conquered?
To make me trip, to make me fall, to make me dive head first into the total agony of what appears to be love...

If I could ask of you one thing in this iniquitous world we live in it would be simply be this:

Hold my hand
Kiss my lips
Hold me in your arms
Long for me
Need me
Love me...like I love you
