Mum, I miss you more that words can explain

In the field there was poppies that grew
Thy shall reflect on the many brave soldiers that battled through
For the blood shed of agony of constant fight
As they now are the heroes that we will remember for putting things right

Another year of the endless pain that seeps inside my heart
The journey without you still aches knowing our hands our far apart
If only I could look into your gleaming eyes
Is now I gaze above as she lives in the starry skies

Hear the silent echo of the lost and troublesome mind
Is all the anguish has left me frozen as time can never rewind
To erase the scars
In the many tears I've cried

Heavens doors was waiting for someone like my beautiful mum to walk through
Born into this world for my life to journey without you
As your daughter I wasblessed to have your nurturing arms close to my heart
Nothing could prepare for the pain when our hands would be separated apart

Without you the years have disappeared into sandy dust
Was the courage to be strong was a must
Strength to journey into the unknown
Is how these past years I reflect on how much I've grown

Living each day with an empty space
Is not waking up and seeing your beautiful face
Blessed with a mum that dearly loved my caring dad
She raised me with every breath she had

Thousands of tiny pieces set in place
How I miss being able to wake up to your loving embrace
The jigsaw is never going to be complete knowing the piece flew far away
Heaven couldn'tbe more luckier to be with you sharing your important day

Mum I wish I could have took your pain
For all that agony that you went through
To the constant fight in battle
I've never known anyone to be as strong as you

Lord reached out and took your hand
Someone who was loved so dearly, this sad loss is hard to truly understand
To such an amazing person that showed so much love
Its hard knowing your no longer with us your living in the heavens above
