In general I like the poem, there are some stylistic and linguistic things that you can consider, but I think that it may be a translation thing. The mood of the poem is poingnent and real and that is a good thing. My best advice to you, is to read, read, read! Read a lot of poems and keep writing. Good luck to you.

  • POEM: I am the wind by Prathibha Nandakumar (10/28/2007 12:24:00 AM)

    What is wind but breath
    and what is breath
    but life
    and what is life
    without living.

    I really love your work.

Hi all... was wondering if anyone knew the whereabouts of Mahnaz Zardoust-Ahari these days? Or if anyone knew if she is still active on this site...

    Thanks in advance!

Just wondering if you fine poets take the time to explore the writing of the 'people who read (inser your name here) also read: ' section of your poetry pages...? And if you do, what do you think of your readers tastes in poetry, and does this influence you at all in your writing?

... just a curiosity that I thought to open up the the hallowed halls of the forum...

    have a great day!

awww Michael... it was an actual honest to God question, really!

and no, not advertising exactly, but I do work in television, (which explains my lack of punctuation and constant run on sentences) does that count?
