An epic poem beautifully conveyed. Very well wrote Although my lack of knowledge on the subject matter puts me at a loss. Never the less i cannot fail to see the quality. Very well done thank you.

  • POEM: Escaping The Matrix by Wade Harlaine (1/26/2009 7:02:00 PM)

The problem arises in some of the misguided importance we place on certain things we deem to be necessary often to our spiritual detriment. Like the film says 'the matrix has you' we need to open our eyes to this and choose what really makes us happy and those around us.

  • POEM: ~I Choose the Mountain~ by howard simon (1/26/2009 6:17:00 PM)

A good motivational poem that makes one think about the path we choose. Reminds me of the sentiment 'Nothing worth having comes easy.'
    Keep writing

A philosophical poem with reference to plato's allegory of the cave and heavily influenced by the Matrix film but adapted for the world we actually live in.

It is like a splinter in my very mind
stabbing into the core of my existance
the answer elusive and evasive does bind
to a firery cave that chokes with persistence.

To this state of bondage we must find a key
no longer to be enslaved by elusions
the red pill we must choose to swallow to see
and forsake the red dress a mere delusion.

It is the desert of greed we must secede
to awake from a world that covers the eyes
and shatter corporate mirrors that impede
that surround us with a matrixed web of lies.

To awaken is the glory of the infinite
or stay in urged a slave of the corporate.

I can definately recommend the new zealand film once were warriors an excellent film that's in my collection tragic and inspiring should have won oscars. The violence is very graphic though so watch out for that

    The Colours She Brings

Deep blue hypnotic like the ocean.

Her eyes call my heart to immersion.

    Ruby red delectable plump tenderness.

Her lips met, a rapturous delicious.

A luscious gold more sensuous than velvet.

Her skin so soft a Venusian banquet.

    Obsidian black shimmering like satin.

Her hair caressed, the divine feminine.

A soft enchanting aura held me from the start.

All the joys of a rainbow in holding her hand.

Her spell binding kindness found in her heart.

Her smile lifts me to an exquisite dreamland.

Brilliant pure white is this wondrous beauty.

It is our hearts and minds entwined for eternity.

    Wade Harlaine
