Little Girl Lost

Which way should she go? Is it up or is it down?
How does she rid herself of her chronic frown?
What does she really want? Who does she want to be?
Can she be that strong independent woman in her future
that she'd always seen?
or will she be unable to let go of her destructive relationship
of co-dependency?
Always longing to be free?
Should she give up on all her goals and dreams?
As a mother, is that her responsibility?
She can not look at her husband and confront the tragic reality
She can't accept they were never meant to be
together for eternity
The overwhelming emptiness is all that she can see
She never thought he could hurt her this way
Ignoring her needs and abandoning her day after day
All she needed was a little attention
All she wanted was some loving affection
She has suppressed her emotions down deep inside for so long
They have become ever entwined and very strong
They have taken over her mind
Her thoughts are mangled
Her fantasy and reality are confusingly entangled
Her broken heart can not take anymore
Her broken spirit has crashed on the floor
Her lost soul has closed its door
Locking her inside herself... she is no more
