It was days before they missed me
In the desert whilst the hot wind blew so free
Our track which was seldom used in those days
The rough track ruined the car in so many ways

I walk into the room looking around
Scanning left and right is so profound
I know who is here now you see
A watchful eye is well practiced daily

I stopped looking up at him standing so tall
...

There are some you'll never know
In your life as you come and go
And others who are true friends
Who will be with you to the end
...

Will you belong to me
Forever I will make you free de
To be who you are
Uncomplicated a shining star
...

Grief is the price you pay for love of them
When their final journey is at its end
And as a tear rolls down your cheek
It's love and grief that will finally meet
...

And it scatters on the wind
To give pause to start again
For the seed will take hold
Growing and flourishing as new green gold
...

Just a memory now for me
When once each day would be
With you as my mother dear
So full of love and clear
...

Across a red planet Martian sky
Flying in an alien atmosphere on high
Such a little craft with our eye
A wonder so far from home to fly
...

Seems like I'm always searching for the light
As I wander alone through the cold dark night
Searching for a truth that seems so out of reach
Like the sand running through my fingers on a beach
